LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Indie label group Concord Recorded Music announced the appointment of veteran label exec Fred Gillham as managing director of the company’s UK operation.
Gillham’s hiring comes as Concord expands its footprint in the UK, with the opening of Concord Recorded Music’s London office, which is aimed at helping the expand the label group’s international audiences.
Reporting to Concord Recorded Music’s Co-SVPs, International, Rebecca Berman, and Michael Nance, Gillham will oversee Concord’s artist development and marketing strategies for its labels in the UK, including Fantasy, Concord Records, Fearless Records, Loma Vista Recordings and Rounder Records.
Gillham will also look to expand Concord Recorded Music’s Craft Recordings catalog and develop Concord’s KIDZ BOP brand in that territory.
Gillham comes to Concord from Universal Music Group where he served as VP of International, overseeing UMG’s labels including Verve, Blue Note and UMG Nashville as well as handling distribution for Concord.
