SILVERLAKE, CA (CelebrityAccess) – Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea hosted an intimate fundraising event Sept. 29, which raised more than $1 million for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.

The event was attended by more than 300 people, including the likes of Brad Pitt and a host of industry names such as former and current Warner Bros. Records execs Lenny Waronker, Jeff Ayeroff, Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck; artist managers Cliff Burnstein and Peter Mensch (who have managed RCHP since 1999), Ian Montone and John Silva; attorneys Eric Greenspan (who has represented the Peppers for 35 years) and Craig Marshall; Azoff MSG Entertainment’s Susan Genco, WME’s Marc Geiger, Kobalt’s Willard Ahdritz, UMPG’s Marc Cimino, producer Peter Asher and A&M co-founder Jerry Moss. Comedian Marc Maron was the evening’s MC.

Featured performances included Lindsey Buckingham, k.d. lang, and RHCP, all of which paid homage to the evening’s top honoree, legendary former WB Records chairman, Mo Ostin. The 91-year old Ostin has been a supporter of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music since its opening in 2001.

Co-founded by Flea, the Los Angeles music school currently gives lessons to more than 800 children annually.
