(CelebrityAccess) — Canadian singer Celine Dion has released a statement addressing reports that she was dropped by her longtime talent agency ICM Partners after the company accused her of failing to pay commissions on a major touring deal.
In the statement, posted to Dion’s social media, she claims the report was inaccurate and that it was she who terminated her deal with ICM Partners and her agent Rob Prinz in writing on May 7th, 2018.
As well, she suggested the Billboard report “publicly harmed” her integrity with their allegedly false statements.
Dion also claims that she’s made what she considers to be “fair and generous” offers to pay the commission on the deal to ICM Partners.
“I’m sad and disappointed by this false report that I’m refusing to pay ICM or Rob Prinz. I know that my team has made several very fair and generous offers to them and we really put a lot of effort in trying to work things out,” Dion wrote in the social media post.
Dion’s management agency CDA, and Dion herself declined further comment.
