NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Tracy Zamot has been appointed senior vice president of Publicity and Media Relations for Universal Motown Records. She will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies for Universal Motown's diverse roster of artists, which includes Stevie Wonder, Akon, Chamillionaire, Lil Wayne, Lloyd, Erykah Badu, Mya, Shiny Toy Guns, and Blue October, among others.

Prior to joining Universal, Zamot served as vice president of Publicity at Virgin Records, where she developed and guided media campaigns for the Gorillaz, KT Tunstall, Lenny Kravitz, Dem Franchize Boys, We Are Scientists and Iggy Pop, among others. Formerly, she advanced from a publicity assistant and tour publicist, to vice president, East Coast Media Relations at Atlantic Records. Between 1992-2002, her duties spanned the label's roster in the mainstream, adult, theatre, soundtrack and urban genres, and included developing media campaigns for Matchbox twenty, Phil Collins, Rush, Collective Soul, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Audra MacDonald and Nappy Roots.
