WMA Chairman Norman Brokaw To Get Heart Fund Humanitarian Of The Year Honor


BEVERLY HILLS, CA (CelebrityAccess News Service) – Norman Brokaw, the legendary agent and Chairman of the Board of the William Morris Agency will be honored April 20 by The Heart Fund at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and receive the Steven S. Cohen Humanitarian Award. Hundreds of Hollywood's elite are expected to attend the event at the Regent Beverly Wilshire to pay tribute to Brokaw and support The Heart Fund's mission to foster awareness about and prevention of heart disease.

In a rare L.A. performance, Bill Cosby, Brokaw's client of more than 40 years, will provide the evening's entertainment. Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart will emcee the evening.

During his 60-year tenure at WMA, Brokaw represented a who's-who of Hollywood including, Marilyn Monroe, Susan Hayward, Barbara Stanwyck, Kim Novak, Loretta Young, Bill Cosby, Danny Thomas, President Gerald Ford and Mrs. Betty Ford, Priscilla Presley, Andy Griffith, Donna Summer and Mary Hart. For nearly 40 years, he also has worked passionately helping Cedars-Sinai to become one of the world's most renowned medical and research facilities.

"Norman Brokaw has been a remarkable force in the volunteer leadership of Cedars-Sinai for decades," said Mark Litman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Heart Fund. "His contribution to Cedars-Sinai and the mission of The Heart Fund has been immense. We are so proud to be honoring him."
