Whoops! Timberlake’s Touring Plans May Have Been Revealed

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — That Justin Timberlake will tour after his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance Feb. 4 is almost a given, but it appears he’s ready to announce it before the football extravaganza, if one is to believe a quirky accident on Ticketmaster.com

Many halftime performers have used the Super Bowl to springboard their summer touring plans, with Bruno Mars announcing his dates within 24 hours of his 2014 performance at MetLife Stadium. The tours have caused some turmoil, with the NFL in 2014 reportedly angling for a pay-to-play scenario for finalists because of the halftime show’s potential for tour promotion.

However, if one is to believe a post on Ticketmaster.com, Timberlake is ready to announce his tour before his performance., with tour dates to start almost immediately after the halftime show. The website recently added, then removed, a seatmap, allegedly for JT’s March 13 show at Toronto, Ontario’s Air Canada Centre, with a stage in-the-round and a starting time of 7:30 p.m.

“General public onsale starts on Tue 01/16/18 @ 10:00 am EST” the post read.

Visitors took screen grabs before the subsequent takedown.

Meanwhile, Timberlake is expecting to release new music, with a source confirming to Rolling Stone it will be called Man In The Woods and will have a collaboration with JT buddy Chris Stapleton. A new single, called either “Fresh Leaves” or “Man of the Woods” is rumored to debut Jan. 5 with multiple sources confirming to US Weekly the album or single will drop the first week of January. JT’s website is already hosting a splash screen of a mysterious logo, synonymous these days with teasing an upcoming release.

Although it is not known what acts would open for Timberlake, a potential would be The Shadowboxers. Repped by Keith Sarkisian, the same agent as Timberlake at WME (along with Jay Willliams and Matt Elam), The Shadowboxers are preparing to drop a debut album of sorts, produced by Timberlake, on Timberlake’s record label, Villa 40, and Timberlake is known to take the stage with The Shadowboxers whenever the trio visits the West Coast.
