Wheelchair Accident At Brisbane Arena Raises Questions About Safety


BRISBANE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A quadriplegic man was seriously injured at an AC/DC concert after he fell from his wheelchair at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Center.

According to All Headline News, the 31-year-old man was blinded in one eye by a pin on his wheelchair after his friend bumped the joystick on the chair, causing accidentally rolled off of a wheelchair podium and into a mosh pit during the concert. During the fall, a pin from the wheelchair impale the man's eye, leaving him partially blinded.

Local press has been critical of the state-owned venue venue for not having a safety barrier in place around the wheelchair podium. A representative from the Brisbane government issued a statement saying that they were investigating the incident. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
