Warnock Named Fundraising Chairman For Nordoff Robbins

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Neil Warnock, founder and president of The Agency Group, has been named as the fundraising chairman for Nordoff Robbins, a UK-based charity that provides music therapy and other music services for people afflicted with a range of illnesses.

Warnock will assume the post in October, 2013, taking over for Brian Berg, who has been in the role of Fundraising Chairman for the last three years. Warnock will also join Nordoff Robbin's board of trustees at that time.

Warnock has been involved with Nordoff Robbins since 1976, when he first helped to support the organization's first 'Silver Clef' lunch. He is still a member of the O2 Silver Clef Committee and also chairs the Nordoff Robbins Boxing event, the next of which, presenting the WBO European Light-Middleweight Championship, takes place on 7th October 2013 and he sits on Nordoff Robbins racing committee as well.

"I have supported Nordoff Robbins for nearly 40 years and I am delighted to have been given the honour of Fundraising Chairman. I take on this role at an exciting time for the charity, with the recent appointment of a new CEO and a great fundraising team in place," Mr. Warnock said in a statement.

"As a music industry, I think we owe it to Nordoff Robbins and the thousands of people they help with music therapy to continue supporting their incredible work and to help them use music to give something back," he added. – Staff writers
