Volvo Adds Integrated Spotify App

GOTHENBURG, Sweden (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Streaming music provider Spotify has signed a deal with car manufacturer Volvo that will see Spotify fully integrated into Volvo's digital dashboard Sensus Connected Touch system.

Volvo owners with will be able to control the integrated Spotify app either with voice activated commands or through the touch screen with music streamed through a 3G/4G dongle or via your mobile phone connection through their dashboard.

Other features include searching functions for artists, albums and tracks; playing new releases, top albums and tracks by region, playlist support and the ability to 'star' tracks.

The Sensus Connected Touch will be available in all models of Volvo cars except XC90. It can be fitted in all new Volvos (V40, V40 Cross Country, S60, V60, XC60, V70, XC70 and S80) as well as being retrofitted in applicable used cars from model year 2011, however a Volvo owners will need their own premium Spotify account to avail themselves of the service. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers.
