Vince Neil Hospitalized After Leaving Stage During Sydney Show

SYDNEY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil has been hospitalized for kidney stones after leaving the stage in mid-show during a concert in Sydney.

According to Allen Kovac, the band's manager, Neil was transported to the hospital and underwent a CT scan followed by surgery.

"He was doubled over on his dressing room floor five minutes 'til show time and was told by the promoter to not even play, but Vince said he couldn't do that to the fans," Crue bassist Nikki Sixx wrote in a later post on his Facebook page.

"I've seen Vinnie go onstage with broken bones, his voice completely blown out and torn ligaments but he never ever cancels. Just like an athlete you sometimes have to play through the pain, but last night it became to (sic) excruciating."

Motley Crue has been touring Australia with KISS and the tour's Australian promoter Andrew McManus said that Neil is resting comfortably and expected to rejoin the tour for their Tuesday gig in Brisbane. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
