Vicente Fernández Cancels the Remaining Dated of 2012 Due To Health Issues

HOUSTON, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Noted Mexican singer Vicente Fernández, known as the 'king of ranchera music,' has canceled all of his concerts for the rest of the year in order to undergo surgery to remove a lump detected in his liver.

Canceled dates include November 9, 10 and 11 in Los Angeles, Nov. 16 in Fresno, Nov. 17 in Stockton, Nov. 23rd in Las Vegas, Nov. 25 in San Jose and Nov. 29 in Los Angeles. Two December dates (14 & 15) in Guadalajara have also been canceled.

While not widely known English-speaking audiences, Fernández has released more than 60 albums; sold more than 45 million records; appeared in dozens of films and consistely fills arenas.

Fernández is currently with his family in Houston.

"I am calm, with a lot of optimism and a lot of faith. I know that all will be fine with the surgery. I have been very spoiled by all my family who has been next to me through this entire this process. I thank infinitely to the audience, to the mass media, for their show of love, for being preoccupied and worrying about me, I ask all of you to keep praying for my health," he wrote in a prepared statement. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
