TOPEKA, Kansas (CelebrityAccess) — VenuWorks has announced the hiring of Karen Lane Christilles as the Executive Director of the Topeka Performing Arts Center in Topeka, Kansas, effective, Sept. 29th.
Christilles comes to the VenuWorks managed theater from the Kansas Arts Foundation where she has served as Executive Director since 2013. Previously, she also held the positions of Associate Director and Marketing Director at the Lied Center of Kansas in Lawrence from 1994-2013. Christilles has her Master of Arts in Arts Administration from University of Kansas.
VenuWorks founder and president Steve Peters cited Christilles’ experience in working in the field of Kansas arts development and her local, regional and national experience as an arts presenter as considerations in her selection for the position.
Topeka Performing Arts Center is a non-profit organization that services the greater Topeka area. Since, the Center has presented both professional live entertainment, including touring Broadway shows and music artists, as well as providing a forum for community arts organizations. – Staff Writers
