Upgrades For Bonnaroo Site

MANCHESTER, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival have announced they have installed a permanent water line at the festival site and will install more than 400 flushing toilets and permanent show stalls at the festival grounds.

According to USA Today, the upgrades were made possible through Bonnaroo's new partners, Live Nation and are just the first of a series of planned upgrades. Bonnaroo co-founder Rick Farman told the newspaper that he hopes the upgrades well help attract some music fans who crave more creature comforts than the festival previously offered.

"We want Bonnaroo to be the most inclusive it can be," Farman told USA Today. "And this is one of those things that we think helps send the right message about that."

Farman also indicated that the upgrades paved the way for the festival site to host additional events beyond Bonnaroo.

"The game plan is not for this to be a one-event facility," he said. "In the past, we haven't had the right dynamic to do that in the way that we would have liked, but now with Live Nation as our partner, and the resources they have, the potential is really unlimited. We are heading in that direction, I think. We're obviously sensitive to, and will work with the community on all levels of this to make sure that what we're doing makes sense." – Staff Writers
