Unhappy Meat Loaf Fan Agitates For Legal Action After Mid-Concert Walkoff

NEWCASTLE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A fan, feeling spurned by Meat Loaf's mid-concert walkoff last month has called upon similarly disgruntled loafers to join him in a legal class action against the singer to recoup their money.

According to the Northern Echo, the fan, 53-year-old Mike Fisher from Hartlepool is urging others to join him in pressuring the promoters for their 50 quid.

Meat Loaf left the stage mid-show, stating that he was unable to continue. He was subsequently diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal chords and the remainder of the singer's tourdates have been cancelled.

Foster has tried to seek a refund from the promoter, Kennedy Street Enterprises, Ticketmaster and the venue, the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. Although the promoter has stated that Meat Loaf performed for 70 minutes and this in addition to the support band, Foster asserts that Meat Loaf performed for only 40 minutes.

While this may seem like a trifling difference Metro Radio Arena marketing director told the Northern Echo that "There is almost a rule that once a concert goes over an hour, it is perceived that a show has taken place."

According to the paper, since first running an article about Foster's efforts, they have only received about 100 complaints. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
