BOSTON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Aerosmith appears to have put their troubles behind them and are planning to add a string of summer dates in Europe and North America following their scheduled gig at this year's Download festival in the UK.
According to Billboard, Tyler and the other members of Aerosmith have settled their differences, at least temporarily, and they are set to hit the Sweden Rock Festival on June 10, 3 days ahead of their scheduled June 13 gig at Download. Additional European dates will be announced shortly.
"There's no Aerosmith without Steven Tyler," Andy Copping of Live Nation U.K., producer of the Download Festival told Billboard. "There's no point in entertaining anything other than (with) Steven Tyler." Copping adds that an Aerosmith without Tyler "was never part of the conversation" with the group's representatives.
The future of the band had been up in the air after the band's frontman Steve Tyler cancelled the band's last tour for a stint in rehab. Tyler also engaged in a public dispute with other members of the band, particularly Joe Perry, which had Aerosmith talking about auditioning replacements for Tyler.
Billboard also noted that the band has been offered dates in North America but nothing has yet been confirmed. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
