TomorrowWorld Refunds Fans For Canceled Day, But Not Without New Glitches

CHATTAHOOCHEE HILLS, Georgia (CelebrityAccess) — TomorrowWorld has announced the details for a refund policy and offered a public apology for the circumstances that left thousands of festival-goers stranded and led to the partial cancellation of the final day of the event.

The SFX-owned festival offered fans a partial refund for full three-day tickets to the event, or for tickets and packages that included the final day of the event.

Stricken by heavy rains that brought the festival's transportation system to a halt, thousands of festival fans were trapped on the festival grounds, many sleeping on the ground or on top of cars while the snarl was sorted out. The weather conditions induced festival organizers to cancel the final day of the event for everyone except for those who had a camping pass for the fest.

Unfortunately, the refund process did not quite go as smoothly as festival organizers might have hoped and according to EDM blog YourEDM, the festival issued a full refund for some ticket holders instead of the intended 1/3rd and then subsequently charged them again for the over-refund.

An email from the festival explaining the glitch was obtained by YourEDM:

You may have noticed on your credit card statement that you were refunded the full amount of your TomorrowWorld Full Madness Pass or Passes. In accordance with the TomorrowWorld Ticket Refund policy, found here, 1/3 of your ticket price will be refunded, not the entire amount. Since we refunded the full ticket price, we will now charge 2/3 of the ticket price separately again. We will strive to have both transactions be part of a single month’s statement so no additional action is required from your side.
