Tom Connaughton Joins Team Spotify

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Streaming music giant Spotify has tapped former Vevo exec, Tom Connaughton, to serve as the head of artist & label marketing for Spotify’s UK operation.

According to Music Business Worldwide, who first reported the story, Connaughton’s new role at Spotify was announced in an internal memo distributed to Spotify employees.

Connaughton comes to Spotify after almost a decade at Vevo where he served most recently as Senior VP of creative and content programming.

Connaughton joins the Spotify team as the company moves towards its April 3rd debut on the New York Stock Exchange as a publicly traded company.

Connaughton, who lived in New York while with Vevo, will relocate to London for his new gig with Spotify and report to Troy Carter, global head of creative services at Spotify.
