NASHVILLE, (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Kristin Ashton had a pretty busy day on July 20th. After reportedly smoking marijuana, the Nevada woman allegedly showed up at musician Todd Snider's Nashville home, ostensibly to try to meet with the performer but alas, he was not home. Nashville News 5 reported that Ashton tried to contact Snider at his MySpace page, hoping to set up a meeting.
"Oh, she was very clear," Snider's publicist Stacie Huckeba told News 5. "She was here to see Todd." According to Huckeba, Ashton believed that "She had a connection with him (Snider) and that she loved him and he was the only person that could save her."
Despite the messages, Huckeba didn't recognize the woman who arrived at Snider's however and called police repeatedly. Ashton left the scene before officers responded however.
"I told them she was out of her mind," Huckeba told News 5 "We kept telling them she needed to be pulled over, that she needed to be detained."
Ashton's disappearing act wasn't long-term however. She resurfaced the next day while driving around a police road block that had been set up to accommodate President Bush's motorcade. After trying to end-run the barrier, Ashton reportedly led police on a 20 minute chase before ultimately being captured.
As for Snider, he was out of town for a gig when the bewildering series of events transpired. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
