TicketsWest Enters Into Agreement With Denver Center for the Performing Arts

TicketsWest, an operating division of WestCoast Hospitality Corporation, has entered into an agreement with The Denver Center for the Performing Arts to provide additional ticketing support for all DCPA events, which was previously supplied by TicketMaster. TicketsWest will be providing regional outlet distribution via all of the King Soopers stores located in Colorado, additional call center support via the TicketsWest call center located in Colorado Springs, and on the Internet at www.ticketswest.com.
June 23 was the first on-sale under this new partnership.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts provides ticketing for most of the 2000+ events held at the Denver Performing Arts Complex each year.

"TicketsWest's ticketing solutions were exactly what we had been looking for to supplement our ticketing distribution channels," said Maureen Andersen, director of ticketing operations. "This is a definite win-win situation because it not only provides the Denver Center for the Performing Arts with additional points of sale, but also allows real-time purchases in available inventory due to TicketsWest's interface to our in-house ticketing system. In addition, with the interface TicketsWest has already developed for the in-house ticketing system, we won't have to make any system or software changes in order to facilitate bringing TicketsWest on board, so the transition should be very easy and cost effective for everyone associated with the project."

"Our additional distribution channels will provide The Denver Center for the Performing Arts with more access points for its customers," said Jack Lucas, vice president, TicketsWest. "We believe that this will add to the success of both organizations. Being able to provide the consumer with multiple access points not only makes it more convenient but also provides ease of access thus helping to make the event more successful in the ability to move a greater inventory of tickets."

WestCoast Hospitality Corporation owns, manages and franchises more than 90 full-service hotels in 16 states. TicketsWest also includes WestCoast Entertainment and presents special events and theatrical shows.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts presents Broadway touring shows through Denver Center Attractions and produces live theatre through the Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company. In addition to serving the ticketing needs of the Center Attractions and the Theatre Company, Denver Center Ticket Services handles sales for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Colorado Ballet, Colorado Children's Chorale, Colorado Symphony, Denver Gay Men's Chorus, PHAMALy and Opera Colorado.
