Third Langerado Music Festival Set For March 12-13

The third Langerado Music Festival will be held March 12-13 at Markham Park in Sunrise, FL, on the eastern edge of the Everglades Conservation Area.

The current line-up includes headliners The String Cheese Incident (both nights), Medeski Martin & Wood, Toots and the Maytals, Keller Williams, Umphrey's McGee, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Michael Franti & Spearhead, De La Soul, MOFRO, Particle, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Soulive, The New Deal, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Robert Walters 20th Congress, New Monsoon, Benevento Russo Duo, Donavon Frankenreiter, Kaki King, Spam Allstars, Hackensaw Boys, deSol, DJ Williams Projekt and many others still to be announced. In addition, through a partnership with Sonic Bids (www.sonicbids.com), one unsigned band will have the opportunity to perform at the festival.

The festival's two days will offer up 20-plus popular musical acts, performing on three stages from 11 am – 9 pm. Details are being worked out for late-night shows in clubs scattered throughout Ft. Lauderdale's thriving night-life community. Langerado will once again host a Bier Garden featuring micro-brewed beers from around the country, as well 40-plus vendors selling their crafts.

The Langerado Music Festival is a co-production between Brown Coffee Productions and South Florida Jams. Mark Brown of Brown Coffee Productions is the managing partner of the Jam Cruise. Ethan Schwartz of South Florida Jams produces and promotes events in South Florida. Advance purchase two-day passes are $75. Day of show two-day passes will be $95 and if available, single day tickets will be sold for $50 at the gate. All ticket prices include $1 per day admission to Broward County Parks as well as two day on-site parking. Children 10 and under are admitted free with paid adults. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
