The Rasmus Pelted With Mud And Bottles At Reading Festival

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Finnish rock group The Rasmus were pelted by mud and bottles from fans at the
Reading Festival on August 29 and left the stage after just one song. The rage was also directed at 50 Cent, who was booed and abused by the crowd; he left the stage after 25 minutes. He tried to appeal to the crowd:
"We're just all here to have fun," he said, but apparently aggravated them further by throwing missiles back at fans and encouraging them to raise their middle fingers.

The scene was compared to Woodstock–the original 1969 version–with thousands of fans reveling in mud and while enjoying the music.

The White Stripes headlined Reading on August 28 before moving on to the sister festival at Leeds on August 29. Jack White
apologized for canceling last year after he was in a car crash.
"My name is Jack White, this is my big sister Meg, sorry we couldn't make it
last year," he said at Reading. "We caught a cab this time."–Bob Grossweiner an Jane Cohen
