The Iris Loses Gear In Trailer Theft

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (CelebrityAccess) — Phoenix-based goth band The Iris had their trailer and an estimated $25,000 worth of instruments and musical equipment stolen while the band was on tour in Albuquerque.

The band was in town to perform at the Launchpad on Saturday and when checking out of their hotel the following day, they realized their trailer had been taken from the hotel's parking lot.

“I thought someone was playing a joke on us,” Singer Brandon Dooley of The Iris told KRQE News.

Among the items stolen was a rare five string bass made out of Brazilian rose wood, as well as some of the band's early instruments.

Fortunately for the band, the thief was considerate enough to return the rented U-Haul trailer to a nearby rental location, however the trailer was empty, KRQE reported.
