The Bowery Presents Takes On New York City

NEW YORK CITY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) –- The Bowery Ballroom and The Mercury Lounge are proud to announce the formation of The Bowery Presents, a promotion company that will stage shows outside of our two clubs. Their first step has been to enter into an exclusive booking agreement with Webster Hall, formerly The Ritz, in New York City. Starting now they are exclusively booking live music at the club, as many as seven (7) nights a week, with very few restricted dates. Thursday, Friday and Saturdays will remain dance nights at Webster Hall, and concert events that they book on those nights will need to end by 11:30 p.m. However, they said that no one will be hurried out of the venue, and patrons will be encouraged to stay if they’d like, bands the same. There will be no curfew restrictions Sunday through Wednesday.

Their goal is to achieve the highest level of sound quality, and to that end, we are installing a new, state-of-the-art sound system. The Bowery Presents will be making additional changes to the room to further improve sound quality and customer enjoyment, and would like therefore to err on the cautious side with capacity numbers of 1,400 to 1,500 starting out. Bowery Presents are determined to provide the same overall great experience that you have come to expect from The Mercury Lounge (250 capacity) and The Bowery Ballroom (575 capacity) at Webster Hall.
