The Agency Group Ltd. Enters Literary World – New Division Signals Global Strategic Expansion For Company

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Agency Group Ltd, (TAG) has announced the addition of a literary department to be headed by Marc Gerald. The department will be based in Los Angeles.

The announcement was made jointly today by Neil Warnock, Chairman, and Steve
Martin, President, North America for The Agency Group Ltd.

Gerald makes the move to TAG from his firm Los Bravos Management and will be
responsible for representing writers, artists, athletes and pop culture
brands as head of the new literary division.

Gerald has placed books in every major publishing house, penned from an
extremely diverse field of individuals such as country star Tim McGraw, hip
hop’s 50 Cent, extreme sports athletes Jeremy McGrath and Michael Iaconelli,
radio personality Sheri Lynch and hip hop oriented literary stars Nikki
Turner, Brenda Thomas, Wahida Clark, and Tariq Nasheed.

“Gerald’s successes at Los Bravos emanated from his nurturing of clients
from original concept through to completion,” stated Martin. “His innovative
and free-ranging approach to the development and representation of content
is exactly what we were looking for.”

“It’s a very important development for us at The Agency and I’m delighted
that Gerald and Caroline have joined our ever diverse Agency Group,” said
Warnock.

Gerald previously headed the ABA Award-winning Old School Books, which is
widely credited with starting a resurgence in interest in urban black
literature.

He went on to form The Syndicate with actor Wesley Snipes. The company
commissioned novellas from some of hip hop’s brightest stars and in a unique
marketing strategy, bundled them with CD’s released through Def Jam
Entertainment. Gerald also co-wrote and co-produced the Stratosphere film
“Six Ways to Sunday” and Executive Produced the 2004 Fox Searchlight
release, “Never Die Alone.”

Joining Gerald will be partner Caroline Greeven whose specialty is
“female-driven non-fiction with an emphasis on pop culture brands.” Upcoming
projects include “Bazaar Bizarre” (crafting company with punk rock slant) at
Viking Penguin, “Project Alabama,” a modern quilting company with
accompanying book, “Built by Wendy” (a downtown guide to sewing) and Ashley
Paige (swimsuit and beachwear knitter).

“My goal is to bring a sense of synergy, discovery and opportunity to the
Agency Group and to take books into places they’ve never been in order to
reach the audiences that deserve to share the experience,” stated Gerald. “I
look forward to working with all the various entities at TAG to bring our
shared and different interests and experiences together.”

While music continues to be the foundation for TAG’s global strength, the
agency has taken to expansion over the summer of 2004. New York-based Conan
Smith (Colin Quinn, Tom Papa, Jeremy Bloom) heads up a new division for
television comedy, while Bay Songs Ltd., a music publishing entity is based
out of the U.K. and headed up by former Windswept Music MD Bob Grace.

Artists on the roster include Evanescence, 3 Doors Down, White Stripes,
Nickelback, Social Distortion and Sum 41 among others. Recent signings
include actress and performer Sandra Bernhard for live performance and
comedian and television host Colin Quinn.

The Agency Group Ltd. is one of the most comprehensive agencies in the music
business in the world today. Currently with offices in London, New York,
Toronto, Los Angeles, Nashville and Scandinavia. It employs over fifty
agents and represents over 1,000 clients world wide. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
