Taylor Swift To Withhold New Album From Streaming

(CelebrityAccess) — While Taylor Swift's forthcoming album "Reputation" will be in stores, both physical and digital on November 10th, it won't be on streaming sites, at least right away.

According to Bloomberg, reps for Swift told streaming partners that she would not make the album available for streaming for at least a week.

Swift's team is still in negotiations to establish when "Reputation" would hit streaming services, but nothing has been finalized, Bloomberg said.

The album, which will be released via Big Machine Records, is her sixth studio effort and the followup to her smash 2014 hit "1989."

Swift famously battled music streaming services, claiming that they shortchanged artists and refusing to let those services stream her material until 2015, when she let Apple stream "1989" in an exclusive deal.

This past summer, Swift appeared to softened her stance, releasing her entire back catalog on all multiple streaming services. While it is impossible to say if her decision to stay off of streaming for years had an impact on her album sales, few artists would be unhappy with the more than 10 million units sold worldwide since "1989" was released in 2014.
