Sydney Edition Of Australian Out On The Weekend Festival Cancelled

SYDNEY (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for Out On The Weekend 2015, a country music and Americana music festival that was scheduled for Sydney on October 24th & 25th, have cancelled the event, citing poor ticket sales.

“We regret to advise that due to less than anticipated ticket sales, we are no longer proceeding with Out On The Weekend at Bella Vista Farm on October 24. While our expectations were not huge, we are greatly surprised at the lack of sales and cannot proceed both financially or logistically with the number of tickets sold," a spokesperson for the festival wrote in a Facebook post.

While the festival is offering refunds, they are also staging shows with some of the fest's headliners and are offering access to the shows for festival ticket holders. Sam Outlaw, Jonny Fritz & Shelly Colvin and Jamestown Revival will all be performing at the Newtowon Social club in Sydney on Sunday, October 25th.

A previous installment of the festival was staged in Melbourne over the weekend of Oct. 17th & 18th. – Staff Writers
