Streisand In Talks With VH1

Barbra Streisand is in talks with VH1. No, i'ts not about being the next diva honored. She wants to get a weekly series for her husband James Brolin, who would play a music industry mogul modeled after Walter Yetnikoff and Clive Davis; Babs will be executive producer. The project is in the third and final rewrite stage with a pilot being the next step.

Both Davis and Yetnikoff were presidents of Columbia Records, the only label Streisand has recorded for. VH1 is trying to expand with scripted movies and shows rather than just music programs, and in the past few years, has shown some original movies based upon musicians.
