(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Aerosmith frontman and Bostonite Steven Tyler will sing the national anthem at the kickoff of the 2004 World Series at Boston's Fenway Park on October 23 before a crowd of more than 36,000 people. Over 20 million television viewers are expected to tune in.
“I’ve been a fan all my life, and to be able to go out and sing the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ for my team and baseball fans around the world is a huge thrill,” says Tyler. “It’s been an amazing year for the Sox and I can’t wait to show the world how we do it in Boston.”
Tyler has previously performed the national anthem at Red Sox and New England Patriots games and the Indianapolis 500. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
