The September 14 Lotto King Karl show was the last in this year’s Stadtgarten season. The concert was one of thirty-four shows put on by Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion in the open-air Stadtgarten venue in Hamburg. According to the promoter 100.000 tickets in all had been sold. Due to this satisfactory result the company looks forward to the 2003 season, when the promoter expects to achieve even better visitor figures.
As well as concerts with popular acts like Joe Cocker, Deep Purple, Bryan Ferry and Xavier Naidoo, Jahnke also staged festivals like ‘A Lazy Sunday Afternoon’ featuring Element of Crime, The Cooper Temple Clause, Gomez and others, and a two day hip hop event Flash2002 with more than 15 domestic rap acts.
