SoundOn Festival Postponed

ESSEX, UK (CelebrityAccess) — A two-day dance music festival planned for the London suburb of Essex has been postponed until August due to safety concerns.

The Soundon Festival 2016 was set to take place at the Essex Sports Village on the weekend of May 1st, but the event is now scheduled for August 13th & 14th.

Festival Director, Danny Swallow said that the changes were due to "unforeseen infrastructure concerns with the Essex Sports Village site" and suggested that the site needed to address potential safety problems.

"Unfortunately, we realised that there was still work to be done to make the site 100% festival ready, so made the decision to move Soundon Festival. This wasn't an easy decision, but we took it in order to give us the time to bring everything up to the high standards we've set ourselves," Swallow said in a post on the festival's website.

Artful Dodger and Soul II Soul had previously been announced as headliners for the event with more TBA, but, according to Swallow, the change in date for the event will bring some “inevitable” lineup changes. – Staff Writers
