Soft Ticket Sales Force Clint Black Cancellation

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A Labor Day Clint Black concert on September 6 was cancelled at Crossroads Amphitheater at the Saline County Fairgrounds in Marshall, MO, due to soft ticket sales.

Glyn Laverick, event manager for Full Circle Leisure and the Crossroads Amphitheater said ticket sales didn't meet the level necessary to pay the artist guarantee and production expenses, the Marshall-Democrat News reports. This would have been new venue's third concert this year.

Laverick told the paper he couldn't say how many tickets were sold due to a contract agreement with Black, but said a July 9 concert by Creedence Clearwater Revisited and a July 23 Grand Ole Opry American Roadshow concert featuring Vince Gill, sold about 1,500 and 2,000 tickets, respectively.
