LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Starpulse is reporting that New Zealand rockers Silverchair have been forced to reschedule a handful of dates on their U.S. tour to allow front man Daniel Johns to recover from laryngitis. Johns caught the throat infection on the long flight from Australia to Los Angeles earlier this week and has been told to rest by doctors after struggling through a performance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Tuesday.
California dates in San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles and San Francisco will now take place in mid-November at the same venues. The rest of Silverchair's Young Modern World Tour dates in America are not expected to be affected by the singer's illness.
In a statement, the band says, "Silverchair apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this unfortunate turn of events."
