Silver Spring Developer Behind LN

SILVER SPRING, MD (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Its starting to seem like fait accompli that Live Nation will seal the deal to develop a new Fillmore in Silver Spring Maryland. Montgomery County Exec Isaiah Legett has been dubbed the victor by local press accounts, including the Washington Post and Bruce Lee, president of Lee Development Corp, which is donating the land to be developed is talking about what his plans for the rest of the property.

"We're taking a lot of risk here," Lee told the Post "We're donating valuable land for the music hall against future guarantees that could be governed by a different administration. We're going with a pretend project, and we're hopeful that the county will treat us fairly and honor the current agreement."

The agreement that Lee refers to is that in exchange for their donation, that Lee Development will receive the county's "good faith" approval to develop a parcel of land behind the music hall site. While the site is currently zoned for office space, LDC is hoping for more latitude to develop commercial or residential space, possibly even a hotel.

As for who actually lands the music hall, Lee claims to be a Live Nation man. "We're 100 percent committed to Live Nation." Lee told CelebrityAccess "Seth Hurwitz called me after the letter of intent had been delivered to the county. I told him to go ahead and talk to the county." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
