Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum To Present Baileys In Tune

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is launching a first-of-its-kind, quarterly special, entitled Baileys In Tune that will connect rock legends with the superstars that they have influenced. Rock Hall inductee Paul Simon and Grammy award winner John Mayer will kick-off the series on VH1 on June 15, at 8 p.m. Music producer and American Idol judge Randy Jackson will serve as host to the program and mediate the interview portions of the show.

Baileys In Tune is an original program offering a unique glimpse at artists who have been connected and influenced through their music. In each episode of the series, two artists — one idol, one icon — are paired and connected through a collaborative music performance that also showcases the artists personal stories and key influences that helped shape their musical careers.

"I think the concept behind Baileys In Tune is amazing," said Mayer. "I'll take any chance I get to perform with Paul Simon, and it is cool to have a platform to share with fans how Paul's music has inspired me. Bringing artists together with their heroes won't ever get old."

"I've been in the music industry for more than twenty-years and have recorded, toured and performed with the likes of Journey and Mariah Carey," said Jackson. "But never before have I been so excited to share the stage with a rock legend and a Grammy award winner as they get to know one another intimately through conversation and music."

The show will be produced at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, OH where the artists will perform within a close, intimate setting that engages a live audience. The relationship with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum allows the program to tap into the Rock Hall's rich history of educating the world about the cultural significance of rock and roll.

"The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is delighted to be partnering with Baileys and playing host to In Tune," said Terry Stewart, president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. "Like the Rock Hall, this original program offers music fans a unique and intimate glimpse into the lives and the influences of their favorite musicians."

"VH1 is dedicated to bringing our viewers closer to the music and artists that they love," said Rick Krim, executive Vice President Music and Talent, VH1. "Programs such as Baileys In Tune emphasize VH1's commitment to giving our viewers unique performances by their favorite artists that they can't see anywhere else." –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
