Reorganization At PMK/HBH, Kingsley To Step Down

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Public relations giant PMK/HBH has announced that Pat Kingsley is stepping down from her post as chairwoman/CEO on January 1st. According to a report in Variety, Kingsley will stay on at the firm in the role of a non-executive chair. The shakeup will go into effect on Jan. 1st, 2008.

In her place, Cindi Berger and Simon Halls have both been tapped to act as co-CEOs while current EVP Nate Schreiber has been selected to be upped to President of the firm. Variety, reports that the trio will collaborate with three managing partners & co-founders, Stephen Huvane and Robin Baum and PMK vet Jennifer Allen.

PMK is a major player in the public relations industry, with an impressive roster of more than 500 clients that includes names like Johnny Dep, Matt Damon, & Ridley Scott along with a number of major production companies such as Tribeca Productions as well.

Kingsley has stated that she plans to continue to rep her clients which include James L. Brooks, Jodie Foster and Al Pacino among others.

Commenting about her tough approach to managing her clients media interactions, Kingsley told Variety, "The idea was always that if we presented something to a member of the press, they could always say no, and so could we. It always worked both ways, and I never told a journalist they couldn't ask a certain question, just that the client had a right not to answer it if it wasn't in their best interest." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
