SAN FRANCISCO (Hypebot) – "If you love something, set it free," begins the announcement from Rdio, that they've dropped all listening caps on it's U.S. site. The move comes just days after Spotify dropped all it'sfree listening limits on the web and mobile devices; and days before Beats Music launches as a paid only subscription music service.
As part of this update, Radio added in-stream messaging the web. The image from blog.rdio.comcompany promises that the new ads are, "short and sweet… Free listeners will hear a mix of new feature announcements, messages from partner brands, notifications about exclusive content, and other helpful tips." Radio like Station are also free on Rdio mobile apps.
Rdio Unlimited eliminates all ads and unlimited mobile access for $9.99 per month.
