R.E.M. Concert To Air On Music Choice And DirectTV

(CelebrityAccess MusicWire) Music Choice will air an exclusive concert featuring R.E.M. from April 26-May 16 and on DirectTV in May. The concert features R.E.M. performing many of the hits that are featured on their Warner Bros. DVD, "Perfect Square." The concert was filmed before a sold-out crowd at the outdoor Bowling Green in Wiesbaden, Germany.

R.E.M. recently returned from a world tour to promote their latest release, "In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003," which includes eighteen tracks. Michael Stipe says, "We think of this Best Of album as the close of a chapter. It's a way of saying thanks to our fans, putting a bookend on everything that's come before, and making way for what's still to come."

Music Choice Presents R.E.M. features a 75-minute concert which will air throughout the month of May in over 12 million DirectTV households. A 60-minute version will be available in over 32 million cable households through May 16. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
