Promoter NV Concepts To Get Tough On Drugs Following Overdoses

BOSTON, MA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Promoter NV Concepts, one of the promoters behind the HoB Boston show where a 19-year-old girl died of an alleged drug overdose, has announced a zero tolerance policy for drugs at its events going forward.

“We at NV Concepts are truly saddened by the events of this past week,” the company’s statement read. “We have always put the safety of our concertgoers first at all of our events and ensure that the venues we work with enforce stringent security measures.

“We will continue to develop new measures, in conjunction with the venues we work with, to ensure the safety of all concertgoers,” the statement continued. “Music is our passion and will continue to be the focus of the business we love.”

According to the Boston Herald, officials at NV Concepts are considering partnering with sobriety organizations at future events, or with artists on anti-drug campaigns.

NV Concepts previously booked shoes at the Ocean Club at Marina Bay in Quincy, Mass, but the venue was shuttered after a series of drug overdoses and a police sting operation, which netted eight arrests. NV Concepts denies having any oversight or operational knowledge"

The company currently has shows on the books at Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, New York and the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass. – Staff Writers
