SYDNEY (CelebrityAccess) — Prince announced that he plans to take his intimate Piano and Microphone to Australia and New Zealand next month.
The Purple One told Australia's Fairfax Media that he wanted to bring the tour to "as many people around the world as possible" and that "everyone should experience this at least once in their lifetime."
The tour will see Prince perform four shows in Melbourne at the State Theatre on February 16 and 17, two shows at the Sydney Opera House on February 20 and Sydney's State Theatre on Feb. 21st. Following that run, Prince will head to New Zealand for the first time, for a show in Auckland on Feb. 24th
Prince last toured Australia in 2012. He cancelled a spate of shows, first in Paris and then a number of European dates following the terrorist attacks in Paris last November, instead performing a short residency at his Paisley Park estate in his home state of Minnesota. – Staff Writers
