Peter Frampton, Clear Channel Team Up For Christmas Benefit

Peter Frampton and Clear Channel Entertainment have organized the Cincinnati USA For Relief Concert to benefit the Clear Channel Relief Fund at Cincinnati's historic Taft Theater, on Sunday, December 9.

In addition to Frampton, Blessid Union of Souls, ONE (featuring 98 Degrees Justin Jeffrey), The Reggie Calloway Band (fronted by the former Midnight Starr member), Pay The Girl, and Greg Schaber & High Street (featuring Blues performers Sweet Alice Hoskins, Big Joe Duskin, and Little Al Thomas) are scheduled to perform.

Frampton currently lives in Cincinnati; in fact, all of the performers have called Cincinnati home at one time or another.

The Clear Channel Relief fund provides funds to police, firefighters and emergency workers in New York, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania, as well as U.S. Military and National Guard personnel, the national and local chapters of the American Red Cross, and the national and local chapters of the Salvation Army, in response to the Sept 11 tragedies.

Frampton hopes the concert, which features an array of rock, pop, and blues artists, will bring the city together for a good cause and an evening of diverse music. "My wife is a Cincinnati native, says Frampton, "and I have fallen in love with the city since we moved here last year. It's great to be able to show off the musical talent that Cincinnati has produced over the years and at the same time, raise funds to help those who need it.
