DANVILLE, IL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Focus Management Group and David S. Palmer Arena have announced a marketing and promotion agreement for the Danville, Illinois arena. The agreement, effective September 1, 2007, will encompass marketing, advertising and naming rights sponsorship for the Arena.
The David S. Palmer Arena opened in 1980 and is a multi-purpose complex offering seating for 4,750 and a conference/meeting center. The arena is home for Eastern Illinois University hockey and Purdue University hockey, plus numerous local and regional amateur hockey teams. The Arena also presents an array of additional events for the citizens of Danville.
David Skinner, President of FMG, commenting on the agreement with Palmer Arena stated, “We are very excited about this arrangement. We have worked very hard with the Arena staff and their Commission over the past few months to finalize this agreement. They have been very dedicated to the process. We look forward to working with the Arena staff in bringing more events to the facility and increasing revenue through additional advertising programs. Over the next few months we will identify a naming sponsor for the Arena.”
Skinner continued, “Working with the Arena staff, we will capitalize on Danville’s great Midwest location. The David S. Palmer Arena is a valuable asset to Danville and we want to increase activity for the enjoyment of the community. We will work with concert touring promoters, circuses, ice shows and WWE – to name just a few – to bring their shows to Danville.”
Peter Blackmon, General Manager of the David S. Palmer Arena added, “This partnership will replace our in-house sales manager position and should prove to be more fruitful and less expensive. David brings quite a bit of experience to the table. This partnership with FMG should open up a whole new window.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
