Orpheum Performing Arts Centre Renews With SMG

WICHITA, KS (CelebrityAccess) — The owners of The Orpheum Performing Arts Centre have renewed its venue management agreement with venue operator SMG.

The Orpheum, a nonprofit arts and cultural organization, originally signed a two-year deal with SMG to operate the venue in 2013 and have now extended that agreement for another five years.

“We are very pleased with our relationship with SMG. They have been good partners and we look forward to five years of continuing improvement in the attendance and the diverse booking we have enjoyed with SMG,” said Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Orpheum Theatre, Harvey Sorensen.

Barney Byard, SMG's current Theatre Director at the Orpheum will continue in his role of managing the facility and booking entertainment. – Staff Writers
