Original Moody Blues Bassist Clint Warwick Dead At 63

(CelebrityAccess Media Wire) — Clint Warwick, nee Albert Eccles, the founding bassist of The Moody Blues, died of a liver ailment on May 15 at age 63. Warwick was a member of the group along Denny Laine, Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge and recorded on their first hit "Go Now." He left the Moody Blues in 1966 after just two years due to the strains of touring. He was replaced by John Lodge. Laine departed the same year and was replaced by Justin Haywood.

Warwick later became a carpenter. Writing on his website, Pinder said Clint was "one of the good men this world has known." –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
