Olympia Entertainment Announces A Five-Year Agreement With Magic Arts And Entertainment

DETROIT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Olympia Entertainment President Dana Warg announced today a five-year agreement with Magic Arts & Entertainment to present Broadway at the Fox Theatre. Olympia Entertainment owns and operates the historic theater located in the heart of the Foxtown Entertainment District in downtown Detroit.

“This agreement with Lee Marshall and his team at Magic Arts & Entertainment enhances our schedule with more Broadway shows,” said Warg. “Our research shows that metro Detroiters enjoy coming downtown to the theater district to see shows at the Fox, and Broadway is what they want.”

The Fox Theatre has had a successful track record of hosting a wide variety of legit Broadway productions such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring Donny Osmond and Camelot starring Robert Goulet. Next a 2 week engagement of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple. The Fox has also hosted Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, an unprecedented nine year run of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and The Wizard of Oz featuring Eartha Kitt and Mickey Rooney. The venue has also hosted Sesame Street Live for the last 17 years.

In addition to the Fox Theatre, this booking agreement between the two companies also encompasses two other Olympia Entertainment-operated venues including: the Masonic Temple Theatre (4,000 seats) and The City Theatre (400 seats). –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
