CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Music fans attending Chicago's North Coast Music Festival were subjected to an emergency evacuation of the festival grounds on August 30th due to the risk of severe weather, including high winds, lightning and hail.

The evacuation of the grounds took approximately 20 minutes and were re-opened after a 2-hour delay. The festival close time was extended to 11 PM and performances by Passion Pit, Mac Miller, The Disco Biscuits, and other artists were pushed back accordingly.

The festival is produced by a group of independent promoters in the Chicago market, including React Presents, Silver Wrapper, Cold Grums Productions, Kingtello and Metronome Chicago.- Staff Writers
