NFL Gives The 'All Clear' With New Bag Policy

NEW YORK (AP) — Football fans heading to NFL games this year will have to leave their bags at home, unless they fit into the strict new criteria the league is imposing at stadiums across the U.S.

The league announced that beginning with pre-season games this summer, purses larger than a clutch, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags will no longer be allowed past entry points into stadiums.

Fans will be able to carry clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”; one gallon plastic freezer bags or small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.

An exception will also be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

The NFL reports that this new policy is designed to provide a safer environment for the public and to expedite entry of patrons into stadiums. Conveniently, the NFL is selling branded clear plastic tote bags that neatly into the new criteria. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
