New Managing Director At Emagic Romania

ROMANIA (VIP NEWS) — As of Dec 1st, 2009, one of Romania’s premier promoter Emagic will work under a new management structure, following the decision by former managing partner Guido Janssens, to hand the management of the company in full to Laura Coroianu (co-owner & managing partner of Emagic).

Guido Janssens: “Thus far Laura and myself shared the day-to-day management of the company, whereby Laura was ‘the face of the company’ in Romania, while I was the company’s face on the international level. I’m proud to say that in the past 5 years we have build a very strong structure and have surrounded ourselves with a very strong team of young & dedicated professionals, and at this stage I feel that my input is no longer a necessity to grow the company further. I will remain available to Laura and her team for advice whenever they feel my help can be useful, but I will mainly concentrate on other business opportunities and challenges of which, I’m sure, you’ll find out more in the near future.”

Laura Coroianu: “I see the new structure as a natural step in the development of the company, since both the internal setup and the international presence established by Emagic over the past years are making it now possible for Guido to take on new business opportunities, and for me to handle the company’s activities in full. I am happy to say that so far we have managed to build excellent relationships with local partners – from suppliers and media channels to corporate brands, as well as with international artists, agents and managers, and I am proud we can rely on a great team, that can face productions of 2000 to 70,000 people capacity. Although the economical and political landscape of Romania in 2010 is still uncertain at this stage, I am confident that Emagic’s key-player position in the Eastern European concert market will continue to contribute in keeping Romania on the map of major concert tours.”

Established as a local company in 2005, Emagic started its activities on the Romanian market from 2003 onwards, with booking international major artists for different public and private events. Set up with the outspoken goal to become the major concert promoter in Romania, and bringing new standards to the concert organizing business in the country, Emagic has brought to Romania over the past 4 years more than 100 artists, amongst which Madonna, Depeche Mode, Shakira, Kylie, Sting, Kraftwek, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Lenny Kravitz. Also, Emagic is the promoter of Romania’s biggest music festival, B’ESTFEST, which in 2010 will reach its fourth edition.
