New Innovation: Pre-Order Live CDs Before Tour Starts

The String Cheese Incident and SCI Fidelity Records have established an innovative series of live recordings and a way for its fans to order a three CD set recording of each live SCI performance (barring technical difficulties and venue restrictions) before the show even takes place. Fans will be able to pre-order a live soundboard matrix recording of individual shows, group shows or even an entire tour. The On The Road series of shows can be ordered when purchasing tickets through the band's SCI Ticketing, at SCI shows or on line.

"The On The Road series is an experimental project designed to help fill the steady and growing demand for better access to SCI's live material," says a band's spokesperson. "In particular this series is designed for people who do not have the inclination, time or equipment to participate in SCI's free tape trading community. This project in no way jeopardizes The String Cheese Incident's
year long-standing policy of allowing individuals to record and trade our live performances. In fact, we have and will always encourage people to share their recordings and our music worldwide. This is simply another option for those who want to collect live music. If consumer feedback continues to be as positive as it was along the introductory tour this past spring, the On The Road series may continue into eternity."
