Munter Named Assistant GM At Rose Garden/Memorial Coliseum

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

Michael Munter has been named the assistant general manager of the 19,980-seat Rose Garden and the adjacent 14,500-seat Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR. He joins Global Spectrum after serving as general manager of the Bowie Baysox Baseball Club in Bowie, MD, an entity of Comcast-Spectacor, Global Spectrum's parent company. He had been with the Class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles for 11 seasons.

"Mike Munter is incredibly talented in creating new revenue opportunities and will be a significant asset to General Manager Michael Scanlon and the entire Global Spectrum staff at the Rose Quarter," said Global Spectrum Chairman and Comcast-Spectacor Ventures President Peter Luukko. "While at the Baysox, Mike was able to book the stadium for numerous non-baseball events, generating significant income for the club."

Munter, 39, had been the Baysox Assistant general manager since 1996 and had been with the team since their inception in 1993. A native of Reisterstown, MD, Munter guided the Baysox corporate sales department to tremendous growth over the last three seasons. During his tenure with the club, Munter also served as assistant director of telemarketing, director of ticket operations, director of sponsorship sales and box office manager. –Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
