Motorhead Front Man Recovers From Foot Infection

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Lemmy Kilmister, the lead singer for the UK group Motorhead, has fully recovered from his foot infection and the band plans to continue with their European tour plans.

The injury was sustained during a show earlier this year and was exacerbated by Lemmy’s decision to ignore doctors’ orders and continue touring in Europe. Just before the band was to begin the U.S. leg of their tour, doctors informed Lemmy that his foot infection was so severe it might require amputation. The band cancelled the U.S. dates and Lemmy spent two weeks recovering in a hospital where he was on antibiotics until the infection was cured.

Now healthy, Lemmy and Motorhead plan to continue touring through Europe and Scandinavia, finishing up with a show in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 19th. The band is also hoping to play dates in the U.S. in March of 2005 to support of their new album “Inferno.” –by CelebrityAccess Writers
